Tucked away in a charming tourist town on the western edge of the Scottish Highlands, Oban Distillery is one of the oldest and smallest Scotch whisky distilleries, a tiny jewel that’s been producing whisky for nearly a quarter of a millennium. A bustling seaside resort has grown up around the distillery in the two centuries since it was first built in the fishing town of Oban. The West Highland malt is still produced in the same unhurried, traditional fashion and this 14-year-old is a classic dram from the distillery.
A true classic with an amber color, an assertive, round nose, and a rich, slightly viscous body. On the palate, it is dry with malty and fruity undertones.
